I've just committed Sequencer64 0.9.9.18 to master, after fixing my Bugs
and making JACK and MIDI Clock better than it was in Seq24. So far only
Arch packages it.
Must try to find time to look at this. I seem to remember seq24 was a bit
quirky with regard to assigning tracks to instruments, but can't remember the
details :(
It's not really track-based. Each square holds a pattern. You can
mute/unmute each pattern manually ("live" mode) or lay them out in a "song
editor". You can assign each pattern to a bus+channel combination.
I added a --bus option to map all patterns to the same buss, and I use
that for telling seq64 where yoshimi sits. I also added a window
to view/edit events in a list; that was why I originally started this fork,
and it took me about a half-year to get to that feature.
I see yoshimi 1.3.8.2 came in on the Debian sid update I just did.
