Sorry, I think I missed the main idea:
I really can load the .state file including midilearn data from Yoshimi
GUI, but I can not load it from my command line script.
From command line I only can load a .xmz file but not a .state file.
Please let us know the *exact* line of your script you are using to try and
load a state file, and the *exact* name of the state file you are trying to
load, as shown from a command line.
The startup command (with arguments) is very fussy about what is offered as a
filename.
I just rechecked on a different machine, and again had no problem.
