Over the last few days I've been working on a couple of tunes, and getting
increasingly frustrated with the mixer panel window, so I've made a few changes
in the current master.
The first is that if you enable a part via the mixer, it now makes it the
current part. Previously you could enable it, then try to fetch an instrument
from a bank, only to find it went to a different part - the current one!
The second change I've made is that clicking on the 'Edit' button always opens
the part editor - previously it just made it the current one. Well, apart from
loading instruments I can't think of any reason you'd want to make one current
without wanting to edit it. it doesn't need to be current for the volume slider
and pan knob to work, nor the audio destination or MIDI channel number.
So, the Edit button now exactly mirrors the action of the main window Edit. I'm
thinking it might be an idea to make the name button also identiacal to the
main window, in that a right click would enable you to edit the name.
None of this is fixed in stone of course, so if anyone violently objects, do say
so.
