The first is that if you enable a part via the mixer, it now makes it the

Sorry, I don't quite understand. Isn't that quite how it's supposed to work?
Since loading of an instrument usually takes such a long time, it is quite
to enable a part (and thus make it current) and then "file" a new instrument to
it, then enable the next one, also schedule the next instument loading on it,
enable the third one etc... All while you're still able to continue to play
with the current instrument. At least that's my habit of doing it. Quite
possible that this is a convoluted way and it can be achieved more easily.
How would you propose to do the described actions?
Those actions are not changed. Also, this doesn't change the what you are
*playing*. It only affects loading, saving and editing. What it corrects is that
previously you could enable a part but not realise you hadn't actually selected
it, so if you already had the instrument bank window open and clicked on an
instrument, this would be loaded to the one you previously used, not the one
you'd just enabled.
It is very specific to the GUI mixer window. If you are using the main window
to change parts, then this was already setting the viewed one as the current
It also has no effect on MIDI or CLI program/bank management.

Say you have a poem and I have a tune.
Exchange them and we can both have a poem, a tune, and a song.
