Dear AEMS-Alumni,

We have exciting news for this year’s AEMS that we would like to share with you!
Thanks to our many partners we are able to offer free scholarships to persons
from specific countries!

Based on the principles of fairness and equal opportunity, we are excited to
announce that we have 10 scholarships each available for the Alternative
Economic and Monetary
Systems<https://summer-university.net/aems-summer-school/> (5 ECTS) and
Green.Building.Solutions.<https://summer-university.net/gbs-summer-university/>
(7 ECTS) online summer universities 2021! These “Empowerment Scholarships” are
intended exclusively for highly qualified applicants for whom otherwise it
would be impossible to participate in our Summer Universities.

The requirements for applicants:

  *   A very good command of English
  *   Motivation and interest in the topics
  *   Reliable internet connection during the course of the three weeks
  *   Studies in architecture, engineering, planning or other relevant fields
or demonstrated experience in these areas (only for GBS summer university)

Application deadline for scholarships: 1st June, 2021 | General application
deadline: 1st July, 2021

AEMS will take place online from 19th July to 6th August, 2021. All live
sessions will take place between 1 and 6 pm CEST, which fits for most time

Furthermore, I would like to cordially invite you to our next online talk:
“Let’s talk future!” with Veronika Winter, chairperson of Fridays for Future
Austria, and Lino Zeddies, utopian, author & economist. On 27th May 2021 from 4
to 5:30 pm CEST we want to discuss questions like What would our economy have
to look like to achieve the 1.5-degree target?
