American Jewish World Service (AJWS) is a progressive grassroots funder
working in 19 countries around the world in Asia, Africa, Latin America and
the Caribbean.
The Sexual Health and Rights portfolio supports community organizing for
advocacy led by youth and feminists working on issues such as gender based
violence or child marriage, sex worker rights and LGBTI rights. AJWS
believes that people affected by an issue must be critical leaders in
formulating solutions. AJWS grantmaking strengthens community responses and
links them with allies to amplify their perspective and make an impact in
critical advocacy spaces.
*AJWS is seeking candidates for the position of Associate Director for the
Sexual Health and Rights department.* The deadline for the application is
December 15, 2013, and the position is based in New York, NY.
