Dear Michael
I’m pleased to read the report.
Perhaps the next step is to run a workshop about putting these finding into
action. We could contribute with sharing our Big Lottery Funded (Reaching
Communities) Tree of Life Project. It’s been running 6 months and took two
attempts to secure funding.

Subject: [wv-ref-group] Research Report into successful voluntary projects
Dear Colleagues,
I hope you have had a good summer - despite some mixed weather!
We now have the Report on the Research Project (attached).
The report is just the first stage; we need to move forward with communicating
the results more widely.
The recommendations (on page 18 of the report) were informed by discussions at
the workshop on how the research could best be disseminated and used.
* Run workshops to disseminate these findings in different localities or
with different types of organisations. To promote good practice and encourage
replication to meet local need.
* Develop the success criteria into a checklist. Organisations could use
this as a prompt to review how they work and how they might change to improve.
This could be accompanied by how they can seek help and support.
* Create more opportunities for sharing knowledge, experience and resources
within the sector in Worcestershire.
Our previous discussions suggested that we work with partners with existing
(local) networks rather than trying to organise our own events. This would
hopefully ensure we achieve a better reach.
Data Orchard have indicated that they would be willing to support the running
of workshops.
Can you let me have your thoughts and suggestions of networks we might work
with please? It would be useful to get your comments sooner rather than later
so we can move things forward. We still need to plan in some more detail the
shape and content of the workshops.
Best wishes
Michael
