I don't think the rain is so much a safety issue for us, if everyone has
bright clothing, maybe lights, and we're just staying on the sidewalk or
grass anyway.
However, I think the low visibility will make it harder for us and our
signs to be noticed, the signs would become soggy, maybe the ink would run,
and therefore be less effective, and the distraction would perhaps be
slightly more dangerous to the motorists, who need to concentrate more in
the rain than in good weather. And consider motorist distraction on any
unrelated pedestrians who ARE crossing the street. So I would prefer
rescheduling for better weather just from the standpoint of having an
effective presence, although I will be there in any case.
