Thank You, LeeLee.
I briefly mentioned in a weekend E- Mail, about a Marked Crosswalk accident
on the Causeway in Naples last week. A local Driver in a goodsized P/U
stopped to let one or more Pedestrians cross on the Crosswalk, which is
also Rte. 302. I do not know if the Crosswalk has ped-activated flashing
yellow lights both sides or not. A Maine man on his 2018 Harley Davidson
Motorcycle stopped behind the first P/U. I understand he was NOT wearing a
helmet. A second Full sizes P/U coming behind the M/C, and also from Maine,
did NOT Stop, which caused the Motorcyclist to be caught between both P/U
Trucks, and incurring severe Head Injuries. The perfect ingredients for a
nightmare which should never have happened. My Longtime Fear has always
been a serious rear end collision when I stop at a Marked Crosswalk to let
one or more pedestrians, walking, or in a power Wheelchair safely cross a
busy street, and one or more drivers behind me are not paying attention.

I have to rant about this yet again: I was almost hit while crossing Main
Street in "my crosswalk" at Main and Stroudwater. A car stopped for
me...the one behind sped up and didn't stop till I hollered while half-way
across the street! She turned into DD's and said sorry 4 times; I forgive
her but PLEASE! Look ALL AROUND before you pass a turning car! Yes I had my
wheelchair flag on, but I feel I need all the bright colors/reflective
stuff I can find! Please share this post and make a difference before it's
too late. Rant over..thank you
