The following comes from Peregrine Falcon expert and bander Greg Septon. (Noel Cutright, Ozaukee County) Horicon Marsh has always been "the place to go" for young peregrines after they disperse; especially July & August when the shorebirds are present. So far this season, there have been 3 positively identified youngsters. August 12, 2012 - "Stormy" (b/r) 29/W, a female produced this year at Chicago's Lakeview nest site was photographed along Old Marsh Road by Laurie and Rick Vant Hoff. August 19, 2012 - Two peregrines were photographed together in a tree by Dave Freriks. a. "Ellen" (b/r) 36/V, a female produced this year at the UW-Milwaukee nest site. b. (b/r) 73/E, a female produced this year at Capital Plaza Tower, Frankfort, KY.
