We saw two fox sparrows at the round spring and stone steps area in near Lake Wingra off Monroe Street in Madison (Spring Trail pond?) The fox sparrows were scrutinizing some snow free areas under some shrubs north of the pool. There were a large number of birds of all kinds around the pond, especially English Sparrows. Also the wingra backwater lagoon area not far from Wingra Park, which I guess is called Ho Nee Um pond?, had a flock of about 10 Gadwalls.
