I'll give a more detailed report about the Mead Wildlife Area field trip later
tonight or tomorrow, but I just wanted to say that we had four (4) WHOOPING
CRANES at the Rangeline Flowage in the Mead Wildlife Area today. I wasn't able
to fully see the leg bands, but they were banded. They looked like two adults
and two young ones, maybe a family group? Other highlights was an early
Bonaparte's Gull and Greater Prairie Chickens.

Also, Lake Wausau is loaded with waterfowl right now. So for any local birders
looking for ducks, come to Lake Wausau.
