Spectacular flight today! Loons and grebes were moving all morning with 38 common, 9 red-throated and 53 horned tallied overall. There were also big numbers of Redhead (420), Greater Scaup (1827) and Long-tailed Duck (1388) pushing past in addition to nice numbers of Canvasback (38). The season's first Bonaparte's Gulls (31) and Pied-billed Grebes (2) were noted. A few white-winged (3) and surf (2) scoters continue to hang around. And as a nice way to end the day, an adult male Northern Harrier wandered in off the lake just as I was getting ready to pack up. Should still be a few more loons on the move tomorrow along with some other goodies. http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist?subID=S17793695 Jonathan Stein Belgium, WI #################### You received this email because you are subscribed to the Wisconsin Birding Network (Wisbirdn).
