A much quieter second day of the month. With calmer wind and bluer sky, birds were less interested in moving. The only two species seen moving in decent numbers were red-breasted merganser and greater scaup. Herring gulls were highly abundant in the early morning, floating placidly on the lake before eventually dispersing. And other than the arrival of the first fox sparrows of the season, things were mostly quiet songbird-wise as well. http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist?subID=S17710946 #################### You received this email because you are subscribed to the Wisconsin Birding Network (Wisbirdn).
