This afternoon, I was walking Lakeshore State Park (LSP) enjoying a little quite time. With camera in hand, a gnetleman stopped and asked if I'd seen anything interesting. He remarked that a Tundra Swan was spotted at LSP earlier in the day. Later, as I was walking north back toward the bridge, I could see an obviously larger bird in flight up near Veteran's Park. I was able to capture two shots with the bird in front of a darker background. Here's one of them: http://www.flickr.com/photos/22836210@N03/5448992901/ While the details are too difficult to make out, I'm surmising that this is hte Thundra Swan spotted earlier in the day. I appreciate the timely posting from Tim and Steve, and the kind gentleman I met in the park. I drove up along the lakeshore trying to spot the bird again. Not luck. I did enjoy the sizable waves crashing against the ice built up along the lakeshore.
