I/we have been waiting a long time for that species to nest in the KMSF and
the county. Nice!

I was watching the feeders as I sat down for lunch today. I saw the first
tufted titmouse just 2 days ago, but today there were five - two adults
followed by begging young. I have recorded tufted titmouse in the northern
Kettle Moraine several times over the years, but primarily as a single
winter visitor. Two years ago I had two stay for much of the winter and
also heard one singing in spring, but have never had any evidence of
nesting here.
This is the first record I am aware of of successful nesting of this
species in the county.
