A continental survey of Trumpeter Swans is conducted every 5 years. In
2010, the population has increased to 46,200 trumpeters on the
continent; 26,790 in Pacific Coast Population; 9,600 in Rocky Mountain
Population; and 9,800 in the Interior Population (east-central North
America, including Wisconsin). Five years ago, the interior count was
4,647.
