I have had tree sparrow in the yard since Mid November. Usually between 8 to 15, this afternoon just as dusk was arriving there were between 35 and 40., There is a small a patch of cattails about 50 feet from the feeding area it is that area that they fly into for cover. The number today was by far the largest n umber since we have been here. During the day the house finches and gold finches usually number 30 to 50. The most mourning dove totaled about 45 the day before a slight snowfall.
