The Townsend's Solitaire (TOSO) has been pretty sporadic this week: Saturday, Feb. 19: TOSO seen and heard singing at the corner of Maria Drive and Reserve Street. 7:50am. Sunday, Feb. 20: TOSO absent. Monday, Feb. 21: TOSO in regular mountain ash tree from 3:30-4:30pm. Tuesday, Feb. 22: TOSO absent. Wednesday, Feb. 23: TOSO singing (not seen) by Science Building off of Fourth Street. That was the last day I saw/heard him. I will be gone all weekend so no possible sightings until Monday, unless someone else sees/hears him. Location: Mainly crabapple, but also Paper Birch, spruces, and Burning Bush outside of Smith Hall on the east side of Reserve Street on the UW-SP campus in Stevens Point. Good birding!
