I spent about a half hour scanning through the shorebirds at the Schumacher
Road pond in Dane County this evening, and found 12 shorebird species
including the following:
15 Killdeer
12 Stilt Sandpipers
2 Baird's Sandpipers
17 Least Sandpipers
106 Pectoral Sandpipers
9 Semipalmated Sandpipers
1 Short-billed Dowitcher
1 Wilson's Phalarope
2 Spotted Sandpipers
3 Solitary Sandpipers
7 Greater Yellowlegs
39 Lesser Yellowlegs
Probably close to the same number of shorebirds as were present the last
few days, I just put in some extra time scanning through them this evening.

about 20 Least Sandpipers, 4 Spotted Sandpipers, 1 Solitary Sandpiper,
about 16 Killdeer, 1 juvenile Short-billed Dowitcher (seen on way in, but
not on return), and 1 Baird's Sandpiper (seen on way out, but not when I
walked in).
Along STH49 there was 1 yellowlegs (sp), about a dozen Killdeer, 1
Semipalmated Plover (limping with an apparent bad leg), and a couple of
Least Sandpipers. If Black-necked Stilts are still at the marsh they are
someplace I didn't look.
