I slipped away from work late this morning and headed to Sheboygan. The wind was brutal and the waves were high, but I did finally locate both the Barrow's goldeneye and the harlequin duck. I counted at least 8 great black-backed gulls, and I probably was being conservative. I've never seen so many at once before. Also saw a single glaucous gull. Six Mile Road in Ozaukee County had two groups of horned larks (about 20 in each group), with only one snow bunting and one Lapland longspur sighted. I saw at least four rough-legged hawks as I drove down I-43 in Ozaukee County.
