Tim's Short-eared Owl was present at the same spot at dusk tonight. Managed an
okay photo despite the low light. Also Northern Shrike, Rough-legged Hawk and
Snow Bunting in the vicinity.

Late this afternoon on a return trip from the woods, I spotted an owl flying
low over a hay field. I stopped and was able to see that it was a SHORT-EARED
OWL. Had some great looks as it continued to hunt and perch onseveral fence
posts. The owl was located along county highway "H", about 3 miles south and1
mile west of Ino, which is about half way between Ashland and Iron River. It
was hunting the field just east of the horse riding ranch (Benson's)
