A female Rose-breasted Grosbeak was at our sunflower feeder mid-day
yesterday. She was eating along side a female Cardinal and all about her
was correct, size, markings, behavior -- except for the season. However,
Atlas of the Breeding Birds of Wisconsin states, "Robbins (1991) described
six records of Rose-breasted Grosbeaks in Wisconsin during the winter;. . ."
Unfortunately no photos. Camera ready today.
