Here are two online resources that can help with documentating rare birds. The 
first is a recent blog article from the western U.S. but very pertinent to us 
here. The second is a Wisconsin-specific article by Jim Frank, former chair of 
the WSO Records Committee. Though from the mid-1990s, most of its points are 
still valid today.
