Today at 2pm, I sighted a Red-shouldered Hawk perched overlooking the marshy
area to the SW of the first footbridge in the Scuppernong Springs Nature
Trail area, in Waukesha Cty. The trail is just west of the intersection of
Hwy 67 and County Hwy ZZ on the south side of the road. Across the street
from Ottawa Lake Campgrounds. A flock of at least 24 robins is also feeding
along spring fed creek in various locations. The Red-shouldered-Hawk in
that location is a first for me. Hope it stays around. Other than that, it
was pretty quiet, with the normal assortment of Hairy, Red-bellied, and
Downy Woodpeckers, crows, Red-tailed Hawk, and White-breasted Nuthatches.
