On 2/7/13 Les from Three Lakes listed a Red-backed Woodpecker at his feeder
a week ago.
I've heard of a Black-backed Woodpecker and also the common Red-bellied
Woodpecker.
Either Les mistyped or maybe he has a hybrid species?
Just curious.
I did hear someone in Three Lakes has a male Varied Thrush coming to their
feeder but they want privacy so I wasn't given details.
Anyone up that way may want to do a quick check of the ground around
visible feeders just in case.
Happy birding!
