Yesterday morning near our house in Rhinelander, I heard the energetic Ziiiip! of Pine Siskins. A flock of about a dozen and a half were alternately perched in the tree tops and zooming around chasing one another chattering and zziiiipp!ing. This is the biggest group of Siskins I've seen this winter. I've had small groups of up to 6, but usually 3 or 4 at my thistle feeder in Polar. The Snowy Owl on the Bryant Flats NE of Antigo continues. I've not seen it everyday, but frequently. Nancy Richmond Polar - Langlade Co.
