Well, yesterday I had 6 red crossbills at my feeders and today I came across a Pileated Woodpecker! It's only the second time in the past 8 years that I have seen one in Wisconsin. I was pretty surprised to see it at my suet feeder just now! I can't wait to see what's around tomorrow!!! http://www.flickr.com/photos/89913914@N02/8495709970/ Not great pictures, but they'll do! I haven't seen the crossbills again, but I have around 50 common redpolls a few siskin, a few Am Tree Sparrows and, oddly, quite a few House Sparrows. I say oddly because I rarely have them in the yard, probably just a handful of times in the past 5 years, and it's always been just 1 or 2.
