This morning at Simmons Woods Park, there was a lot of color in the trees! Cardinals and Blue Jays were seen at the east end of the trail loop, and the big highlight was finding a small group of 3 Eastern Bluebirds, feeding on berries. This was the first time I've ever seen Eastern Bluebirds in the winter :) Location: Simmons Woods Park Observation date: 1/14/10 Number of species: 11 Mallard 3 Herring Gull 1 Mourning Dove 1 Hairy Woodpecker 1 Blue Jay 2 American Crow 2 Black-capped Chickadee 3 White-breasted Nuthatch 1 Eastern Bluebird 3 Dark-eyed Junco 2 Northern Cardinal 3 Good birdwatching, Erik Bruhnke Waukesha, WI Naturally Avian - Bird Photography and guided bird hikes www.pbase.com/birdfedr birdfedr@xxxxxxxxx #################### You received this email because you are subscribed to the Wisconsin Birding Network (Wisbirdn).
