This is such sad news. I only met Peter in person once, but he was such a
nice guy, and a great resource, and he did a lot to help the birding
community in Wisconsin through this list serve and obviously through his
other work in the Madison area. My condolences to any of his close friends
and family that may be on this list.

Knowing Peter he really would want you to put on a happy face and get out
there and bird, enjoy nature, and stay safe.
Keep Peter in your thoughts during the coming spring migration. And
remember - wherever Peter is, heâs going to know if you donât sign your
posts to the list properly and youâll be hearing from him in some form or
another.
