Hello Birders, Would you like to double as Froggers? The Wisconsin Frog and Toad Survey has routes available and is looking for volunteers to run them. Survey routes are run 3 evenings per year, in April, late May, and early July, and are lots of fun! More information and route maps are available at http://www.wiatri.net/inventory/Frogtoadsurvey/ 1-2 Volunteers are needed in each of the following counties: Barron, Brown, Buffalo, Clark, Douglas, Florence, Fond du Lac, Grant, Green, Jackson, Kewaunee, Lafayette, Langlade, Marathon, Marinette, Marquette, Menominee, Monroe, Oconto, Outagamie, Ozaukee, Pierce, Portage, Price, Racine, Richland, Rusk, Shawano, Taylor, Trempealeau, Vilas, Washburn, Washington, Waupaca, Waushara. We do have some outstanding route offers that may modify this list and we maintain a waiting / backup list for counties not listed here. The data from this project are actively used by the DNR and other organizations to monitor frog and toad distributions, population trends, and possible conservation status changes.
