Hello,
I'm writing as a member of the Friends of Wisdom Prairie Council. Wisdom
Prairie is approximately 130 acres of restored prairie, woodlands, and
wetlands belonging to the Holy Wisdom Monastery on County Road M just east
of Middleton, Dane County.
I'm seeking a few (2 or 3) birding volunteers with birding experience to
join a small group of us on May 5th as we participate in the 2018 Global
Big Day. This will be our initial venture into such an event and would
appreciate any volunteers willing to lend their expertise and encouragement.

Since this is my first post on the listserv I will introduce myself as
suggested in the "Welcome to list 'wisbirdn'".
I've lived in Madison for about 20 years having moved here from Duluth, MN
where I was active for a time with the Duluth Audubon Society and spent a
considerable amount of time hanging around Hawk Ridge during the fall
migration, birding Zax Zim Bog, the Duluth Harbor, and property in Twig.
I'm retired now and looking forward to getting back into birding, as well
as working to restore and preserve natural habitats at Wisdom Prairie.
