I was out along the lake in Milwaukee Co for our May Count. We combine
Milwaukee and Ozaukee Counties for our count. Cold day but some decent pockets
of migrants. I found 111 species in the areas I covered. Still adding what
other people found. Highlights for me include a female Summer Tanager at
Bender Park. Late junco, Surf and White-winged Scoter, Common Merganser.
Carolina Wren singing in the gale at Lake Park and 19 warblers in the southern
half of the county. Flycatchers very hard to come by except for good numbers
of Eastern Kingbirds. One group of 12 feeding on the ground in Grant Park! I
didn't have any catharus thrushes.
