[wisb] Milwaukee lakefront, 2/12/11 - slow birding, but a new lifer "yard" bird

The birding was pretty dismal for me today (2/12/11) on the southern half of my
Milwaukee BIGBY route. Only three species grand total. That has to be a record
low count for me. :-( I passed the time shooting a few short videos of the
southern part of my BIGBY route instead. (See below)

Here are the three species:

* Common Goldeneye. One female, in a small patch of open water behind the art
museum.

* Canada Goose. Several smallish flocks (6-15 birds) all in flight. Most CAGOs
I've seen in about a week.

* Herring Gull. 13 birds, near the patch of water the Goldeneye was in. There
were maybe 1,000 gulls farther out in the harbor on the ice. Too far away to ID
with binoculars.

I did have one new life "yard" bird species this afternoon. Looked out the
patio window and saw a small flock of Greater Scaups flying by.

Here are some videos from my southern BIGBY route. They're short, between 30
and 60 seconds each. They give varying views of Lakeshore State Park and
Milwaukee Harbor. I shot them in a bright glare and couldn't see images on the
camera screen. They're not too bad for shooting blind. :-)
