Compared to what Daryl T. and Steve T. have been seeing lately, my sightings
are rather meager!
In Sheboygan County along CTH KW south of CTH K there were 3 Trumpeter
Swans. At the southeast corner of Horace Mann Road and CTH V the flooded
field had a Ross's Goose, 2 Greater White-fronted Geese (the only I saw
today), and (FOY) Brown-headed Cowbirds. The junction of CTH I and CTH N
pond near Sheboygan Falls had a blue morph Snow Goose for a short time, but
it flew to a more distant cornfield and I eventually lost sight of it.
The pond on CTH V about .5 mile west of STH32 had 3 Tundra Swans and 5
Northern Pintail.
My last stop on the way home was in Ozaukee County at the CTH KK and
Hawthorne Road pond where there was a Canvasback, Redheads, a pair of
American Wigeon, and 2 Green-winged Teal.
Killdeer, Red-winged Blackbirds, and Sandhill Cranes were in several places
and are now easy to find, so I won't detail the sightings.
