Went over early this morning to the Manitowoc impoundment (arrived
around 7:30). Nice selection of shorebirds that included 9 species:
2 Semip. Plovers, 1 Killdeer, 1Spotted Sandpiper, the RED KNOT (great
views entire time I was there), 20+ Semip. and 10+ Least Sandpipers,
4 Stilt Sandpipers, 4 Short-b. and 1 Long-b. Dowitcher. There also
were about 90 Bonaparte's Gulls and 2 Caspian Terns present.
