Good morning,
Yesterday afternoon there were a lot of birds in the flooded fields on
Pennsylvania Ave, in Oak Creek. Several hundred Canada Geese and Mallards.
I found a FOY blue morph Snow Goose, FOY beautiful male Northern Pintail, 3
FOY American Wigeon, 6 FOY Killdeer, and a small mixed flock of 3 FOY's,
Horned Larks, Snow Buntings, and Lapland Longspurs.
A lot of the ducks were way in the back and a scope would be needed to sort
through them. I couldn't tell if there were anything besides Mallards with
my 8x binoculars, especially with the sun facing me. There was also a
Sandhill crane in the field and one flying in the distance. Red-winged
Blackbirds are abundant now, all claiming their spots. Might be worth
checking this morning if any of those birds interest you.
Have a great day,
Jeremy Meyer
