At La Riviere Park in Prairie du Chien fly-overs of Snow Geese,
White-fronted Geese, and Canada Geese were seen yesterday. Also seen
were robins in the crab apples, killdeer, red-wing blackbirds, and a
pair of Carolina Wrens. Pine siskins continue to visit the bird
feeders. At Gremore Lake near the Barn Restaurant on Cty Rd K north of
Prairie du Chien 65 bald eagles and several hundred ring-billed gulls
were observed feeding on shad in the marina and south.
