With all of the rain we received yesterday I thought I would check out Lost Creek Wetlands in Portage County during my lunch break today. I found a good variety of shorebirds on the sod farm including Semipalmated Plovers and Sandpipers, Least, Pectoral and Baird Sandpipers. Both Greater and Lesser Yellowlegs and Wilson's Snipe. I know of another local birder that had American Golden Plover there earlier in the day. I'd suspect that this will remain great habitat for the coming days. Good Birding!
