Hi: I went to Port Harbor around 11:30 this morning. I found the Kittywake flying around the gazebo as I arrived. However, it flew out to the south breaker wall, over it and south over the Lake behind the power plant. It mixed it with numerous H. Gulls that were there. I could pick it out with the scope as it's movements are somewhat Tern like the way it turns and dips. Then it was out of sight, possibly in the water out there. I stayed till around 2 PM photographing some Hooded and Red-breasted Mergansers. I did not see the Kittywake for about 2 hours while photographing. Then it arrived within the harbor and flew all around from the north restaurant to the Holiday Inn area. Again, it flew out over the south breaker wall and disappeared. This is where it may have been when Tom S. was here a couple of days ago. Photos of Mergansers and Kittywake.
