The former late Kittiwake was also in Port Washington Harbor. It was first documented by Tom Uttech on Dec. 13, 1995 and last documented by Tom Schultz on Jan. 6, 1996. Since Jan. 6, 1996 was the first Saturday of the new year, the Kittiwake was likely seen on the WSO field trip along Lake Michigan. Perhaps the same will happen this coming Saturday, Jan. 9th. -- Bob Domagalski, Menomonee Falls (who will be spending that Saturday painting walls in St. Nazianz) It was there today [Jan. 7th].
