This afternoon while scanning birds where the Yahara Widens near Cty B, along with Kyle Lindemer, I saw a large distant bird soaring. It was a JUVENILE GOLDEN EAGLE with white patches visible on top and bottom of the wings and white at base of the tail. The wings were long and dihedral. Wing beats were not as deep as the Bald Eagles we saw a short time later. Also present was a NORTHERN HARRIER and a single SANDHILL CRANE. Kyle found a GREEN-WINGED TEAL. Still there were the 5 TRUMPETER SWANS and 2 SNOW GEESE that Steve Theissen posted.
