Thank you for forwarding this B.G. Aside from several spelling errors, and a
lawyer speaking several times about his recollections in this case (as
opposed to well written notes which most lawyers live by to preclude any
question about the facts), this is a fairly well written explanation and
certainly explains everything satisfactorily!

The Vermillion County (IN) prosecuting attorney's office has issued a press
release regarding the case involving the shooting of a Whooping Crane last
year.
Many people were enraged by the light sentencing and low fines passed down
by the court recently. The county government must have felt the pressure to
put out some sort of explanation.
