2 birders on the boardwalk trail told me about some avocets near the big
mud flats east of the pumphouse on Hwy. 49. Checked it out and found 3
avocets, over 100 dunlins, a black-bellied plover, and greater & lesser
yellowlegs. It was a Horicon record day for me : 77 species & a lifer - -
the avocets!
