As I mentioned I'm scanning some old slides I've accumulated over the last 30 years or so and I came across a slide that I had labeled as Thayer's Gull. I don't know if I've even looked at that slide since the time I took it back in the late 80's. At the time, there had not been a sighting of California Gull yet in the state, so I fear I may have been swayed by the theoretical probability of Thayer's. Unfortunately I do not have leg color or wing color, just a sitting bird, but a decent photo of it. Anyway, would appreciate thoughts. There is no doubt that the photo was taken in Wisconsin, but I have to admit, I don't remember the location, but probably South Shore Yacht Club.
