I found 8 wood ducks on the north shore of lake Altoona. They are in full breeding plummage chasing two females around. Lake wissota has open water around cty hwy S it's very open!! And the snow bank that blocked acess to the boat landing at lake wissota state park has melted, so that access to that little bay is open. On that little bay I picked up a Lifer!!! 3 eared grebes 2 males in full breeding plumage, just gorgeous!!! There was also a possible BARROWS Goldeneye back there displaying to a female if the storm isn't too crazy, I'll check I out with camera tomorrow... It could be those birds will hop on the front's wind and keep on migrating!!
