Peter Fissel, Nolan Pope and I made a try for golden eagles today. We found one, that we feel was a second year golden, on Cty N about a mile south of NN. That was in Iowa county. And a first year golden south of Muscada. This was on the eastside of Cty G, along Sand Branch road. Both of these locations were very near where I had goldens the year before. But these were different year class birds. Peter spotted 2 Fox Sparrows today. One on Blynn Road north of Hy 14. That's just into Iowa Co.( east end). The other on Boot Hollow Road, just east of Hy 80. Also in Iowa Co. This location also had a nice group of Purple Finch. Blynn Road had large numbers of junco and at the feeders at the end of the road 7 purple finch.
