Over the past couple days there have been a few Great Horned Owl abdominal feathers in the nest box at Oak Creek Power Plant that the female likely pulled while exposing her brood patch prior to beginning incubation. Then in the 4 p.m. web cam image from yesterday, it appears that she's now brooding an egg. She'll likely lay 1-2 more eggs. In any case, if all goes well we should see some baby owlets sometime between February 5 - 12. http://www.we-energies.com/environmental/protect_wildlife.htm The camera at Port Washington Power Plant is being replaced.
