Maybe because, although our vagrants were rare and exciting for us, they are common in other parts of the country. The birds listed below (Pink-footed Goose, Barnacle Goose, Tufted Duck, Black-vented Oriole, Black-tailed Gull, etc.) seem to be rare all over the lower 48.
