We were able to get out for a brief tour yesterday afternoon. Checked on the Leipsig Bald Eagles. One bird was sitting tight on the nest - nice to see. A short distance away on York Road we found a flock of Lapland Longspurs, most in bright plumage, feasting on the bounty in a newly manured field. Couldn't count them due to the birds' movements but were able to get good views of many.
